Maranatha Christian College has partnered with Winthrop Australia to bring parents educational discounts when purchasing an iPad through our College. Due to the volume of orders placed, Winthrop Australia can deliver discounts on iPads, Warranty and Protection.

To clearly identify between WiFi only and 3G iPads, Maranatha Christian College has differentiated these packages by colour - Black for WiFi only & White for 3G.  All of the above packages come with the following: STM Skinny The STM Skinny is a cover that protects your iPad 2 from scratches and external abuse. It comes with a sleek hard shell back and magnetic on/off front flap that automatically wakes up the device and puts it to sleep. Maranatha Christian College will have all cases colour black to show equality amongst Students & Staff, and to identify Parent/Student owned devices. $50 App Store Credit  The iPad presents a new challenge for Schools implementing a take home 1:1 program. The iPad comes pre loaded with many Applications including Calendar, Maps, Mail & Safari. Third party applications can only be installed using an iTunes account, with individual users owning all software installed on the device. Maranatha Christian College will be recommending key applications from the App Store that Students must load onto their device for various educational reasons. Parent & Student Education will be provided prior to the iPads being deployed to ensure the iTunes accounts are used effectively. AppleCare It is imperative in any successful 1:1 technology program that sufficient warranty is provided with the device to ensure Students are not disadvantaged in anyway due to hardware or software faults. Every iPad comes with complimentary telephone technical support for 90 days from the iPad purchase, and a one-year limited warranty. With the AppleCare Protection Plan, the service coverage is extended to two years from the iPad purchase date (available World Wide). iPad AppleCare is auto-enrolled through Winthrop Australia. Optional Insurance As more schools look to introduce student device programs, they are needing to provide effective insurance solutions to protect this significant investment in technology. Student device insurance is a specialised area - it is one of the highest risk areas for insures and requires careful implementation and management.
